Two adjustments are required before installation:
- Edge trimming — final perimeter cut to match your specific airframe tolerances.
- Canopy alignment — the central curved section requires a slight adjustment to follow the profile of your canopy. The process is straightforward and requires no special tools.
- Vent hole — no hole is pre-drilled. Once you've received the door and decided exactly where you want your vent fitting, you drill it yourself. This ensures the position is right for your setup, not ours.

Are these original RANS doors?
No. These are aftermarket doors, compatible with the RANS S6 airframe. They are not manufactured by RANS and are not original factory parts. They are thermoformed using the same process as the originals, ensuring the correct bubble profile and a natural fit on the airframe.

What work is required after receiving the doors?

Which thickness should I choose — 1.5mm or 2mm?
The 1.5mm version is lighter and easier to work with during fitting. The 2mm version is stiffer and more rigid — available with UV protection treatment, it is the recommended choice for aircraft regularly exposed to direct sunlight.
